PRE-GAME CONNECTION CHECK
League of Legends Internet Test
Lagging in League of Legends? Check your connection’s latency, jitter and download speed before your next session. Then compare the result with what happens in the game.
Test my connection for League of Legends ↗The button selects League of Legends. Choose Quick or Full and start when ready. Measurements use Cloudflare, not League of Legends servers.
League of Legends connection checklist
Follow Riot’s PC connection checklist and compare a wired connection. A browser result cannot diagnose a League match server or a client error.
Publisher guidance for League of Legends ↗Compare client access and match behavior
- Note whether the client fails to connect or an active match becomes unstable.
- Record the region and time along with any in-game latency reading. Browser latency uses a different destination.
- If the browser check looks stable, include the client or match-specific symptoms in a Riot support report.

What should I look at?
- Latency: response time to the test endpoint. Compare it with the game’s own ping when available; the destinations differ.
- Jitter: changing response times can help explain an inconsistent connection.
- Under-load latency: a rise during transfers suggests downloads or uploads could affect responsiveness.
- Packet loss: Full attempts this measurement. Unavailable does not mean zero.
Is my internet fast enough for League of Legends?
A download-speed number alone cannot answer that. Check consistency and compare repeated tests while background transfers are paused. Publisher requirements, your region and the route to the game also matter. Ping2GG’s rating is a general idle-responsiveness indicator, not a publisher pass/fail requirement.
If only League of Legends is having trouble
Check official service status, note the exact error and compare another session. Use the publisher checklist above for your platform. This browser test does not detect NAT type or prove that a game port is open.
