PRE-GAME CONNECTION CHECK
Destiny 2 Internet Test
Lagging in Destiny 2? Check your connection’s latency, jitter and download speed before your next session. Then compare the result with what happens in the game.
Test my connection for Destiny 2 ↗The button selects Destiny 2. Choose Quick or Full and start when ready. Measurements use Cloudflare, not Destiny 2 servers.
Destiny 2 connection checklist
Record your exact disconnection error code and use Bungie’s network troubleshooting guide. Different codes can indicate different causes; a browser check cannot identify them.
Publisher guidance for Destiny 2 ↗Start with the exact error code
- Copy the precise error code shown by Destiny 2; do not group different codes into a single issue.
- Record whether the error happens at login, when joining another player, or during an activity.
- Use Bungie’s network guide and code-specific help with that context. A browser check can add evidence but cannot interpret the error for you.

What should I look at?
- Latency: response time to the test endpoint. Compare it with the game’s own ping when available; the destinations differ.
- Jitter: changing response times can help explain an inconsistent connection.
- Under-load latency: a rise during transfers suggests downloads or uploads could affect responsiveness.
- Packet loss: Full attempts this measurement. Unavailable does not mean zero.
Is my internet fast enough for Destiny 2?
A download-speed number alone cannot answer that. Check consistency and compare repeated tests while background transfers are paused. Publisher requirements, your region and the route to the game also matter. Ping2GG’s rating is a general idle-responsiveness indicator, not a publisher pass/fail requirement.
If only Destiny 2 is having trouble
Check official service status, note the exact error and compare another session. Use the publisher checklist above for your platform. This browser test does not detect NAT type or prove that a game port is open.
